Why Using Handmade Soap Is Great For You

Why Using Handmade Soap Is Great For You

Here at Tsuki Soap, we make only high quality natural handmade soaps and the handmade soaps we make are made with only natural botanicals and essential oils without harmful ingredients like SLS or parabens.

So what is so great about handmade soap? Do you know why you should use it instead of commercial soaps commonly sold?

What is so good about handmade soap?

#1 Moisture, moisture, moisture! Yay for glycerine!

Our beautiful artisan handmade soaps are made the old fashioned way, making it real handmade soap. Glycerine is a natural by-product of the soapmaking process and are the best thing about handmade soaps! Glycerine is a natural humectant (draws water from the environment) and it helps keep our skin moisturised and hydrated. Nature’s way of loving and protecting our skin even when you are washing off the dirt with handmade soap! Learn more about glycerine here.

Did you know?

Many commercial soaps you find here in Singapore and Malaysia are detergents, not real soaps, and are made with cleansers, hardeners, lathering agents and leave out the skin loving glycerine, because they can sell glycerine to be added into other skincare products. That’s why many are not called soap, but instead called body foam, body bars, body cleansers, because in some countries its illegal to call it soap! And these detergents strip the skin of natural oils and can cause dryness, irritation and itchiness.

Our beautiful handmade soaps are full of skin-loving glycerine that makes it gentle and kind on the skin. Our Honey Oat, Rice and Dead Sea Tea Tree handmade soap are formulated extra gentle too, and so mild that you can even use it on your face.

#2 Natural & Extra Beneficial Ingredients

At Tsuki Soap, we use only natural and naturally derived ingredients in our handmade soaps. And we also add in skin loving, nourishing ingredients to cleanse your skin and love your skin.

Made from only natural oils and butters, our handmade soaps cleanse, and also moisturise. Our handmade soaps keep your skin feeling good and looking radiant.

We also add other extra skin loving ingredients like oatmeal, rice, honey, clays, and botanicals. These are all sourced from nature and they provide extra moisture, vitamins, and nutrients for your skin. For example our best-selling Lavender Oat with added honey, oatmeal, lavender essential oil, lavender floral tea and clays.

#3 No Perfumes/ Fragrances

Perfumes and fragrances can cause irritations or other negative reactions in some people and thus we do not use any synthetic perfumes in our handmade soaps. We want everyone to have the amazing option to shop with us at Tsuki Soap and find a suitable handmade soap for themselves. For example our Honey Oat and Rice soaps are unscented.

Where we do use scents in our handmade soap, we only use essential oils. They provide a lovely fragrance that can help reduce stress, calm, or even energise you depending on the essential oil blend.

#4 Beautiful Designs

Tsuki Soap designs and handcrafts each soap to make them beautiful to the eye and lovely on the skin. We want each soap to be able to bring you joy and a sense of escape from our concrete jungles in both Singapore and Malaysian cities like Kuala Lumpur.
